Welcome to Luna Living Co. We’re a Sunshine Coast-based furniture business offering new and second-hand furniture, mainly lounges, with local delivery available across selected areas.

These Terms of Service explain how orders, payments, delivery, returns, warranties and website use work when you purchase from us.

By placing an order with Luna Living Co., you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Luna Living Co. is operated by Lana Turner under ABN 82 243 673 811.

In these Terms, “Luna Living Co.”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Luna Living Co. “You” or “your” refers to the customer purchasing from us.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Any warranty we offer is in addition to your Australian Consumer Law rights.

3. Product information

We do our best to describe and photograph our products accurately.

Please keep in mind:

Colours may appear slightly different on screens.
Fabric, leather, timber and other materials may vary slightly in colour, texture or finish.
Natural materials may have grain, markings, creasing or tone variation.
Second-hand or ex-display items may show signs of previous use.
Measurements are approximate and may vary slightly.

These natural or minor variations are not considered faults.

4. Product availability

Most of our items are limited quantity, floor stock, one-off pieces or small-batch stock.

An item is not guaranteed until your order has been accepted and payment has been confirmed.

If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative, store credit or refund.

5. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the product at the price listed, plus any applicable delivery fee.

We may accept or decline an order for reasons including stock availability, incorrect pricing, payment issues, product error, delivery limitations or suspected misuse of our website.

Once we accept your order and payment is confirmed, your order is considered final, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in Australian dollars.

Prices may change at any time before your order is confirmed.

Payment must be received in full before collection or delivery, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Available payment methods may vary from time to time.

7. Delivery areas

We currently deliver to SE Queensland.

Delivery availability depends on your location, item size, driver availability and access conditions.

If you are outside our usual delivery area, please contact us for a quote before ordering.

8. Delivery fees

Delivery fees are based on your location, item size, delivery requirements and access.

Delivery fees will be shown at checkout, quoted separately, or confirmed before delivery.

Additional fees may apply for:

Redelivery
Missed delivery
Difficult access
Address changes
Regional delivery
Extra-large or heavy items
Delivery outside our standard service area

9. Delivery timeframes

We aim to deliver as quickly as practical, but delivery dates and times are estimates only.

Delays may occur due to scheduling, traffic, weather, driver availability or other circumstances outside our control.

We are not liable for reasonable delivery delays.

10. Customer delivery responsibilities

Before delivery, you are responsible for making sure:

Your delivery address is correct.
Someone aged 18 or over is available to receive the item.
There is safe and clear access.
The item will fit through doorways, hallways, stairs, lifts and into the intended room.
Pets are secured away from the delivery area.
Floors, walls and surrounding areas are protected if needed.

Our delivery team may refuse or modify delivery if access is unsafe, unsuitable or unreasonable.

If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues, incorrect address details, no one being home or other customer-related reasons, redelivery or return fees may apply.

11. Authority to leave

If you request or approve authority to leave, the item may be left at the agreed location.

Once the item has been delivered to that location, risk passes to you. Luna Living Co. is not responsible for loss, theft, weather damage or other damage after delivery has been completed.

12. Pickup

If pickup is arranged, you must collect the item at the agreed time.

You are responsible for bringing suitable transport, blankets, straps and help to safely load and secure the item.

Risk passes to you once the item has been collected.

13. Inspection on delivery or pickup

Please inspect your item as soon as possible after delivery or pickup.

If your item is damaged on arrival, incorrect or missing parts, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and your order details.

This helps us assess the issue quickly. This timeframe does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

14. Change of mind

Because furniture is bulky and delivery costs are significant, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

Change of mind includes, but is not limited to:

Choosing the wrong colour
Choosing the wrong size
The item not fitting through access points
The item not fitting your space
Deciding you no longer want the item
Finding another item elsewhere
Not liking the comfort, firmness or style after purchase, unless the product fails to meet a consumer guarantee

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if the item is faulty, not as described, unsafe, or does not meet consumer guarantees.

15. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods

If an item has a fault, is damaged on arrival, or is not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may ask for photos, videos, proof of purchase and other details to assess the issue.

Depending on the issue and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, the remedy may include:

Repair
Replacement parts
Replacement item
Store credit
Partial refund
Full refund

The appropriate remedy will depend on whether the issue is minor or major under Australian Consumer Law.

16. Second-hand, clearance and ex-display items

Some items sold by Luna Living Co. may be second-hand, clearance, sample, floor stock or ex-display.

These items may have minor marks, signs of use, imperfections or wear consistent with their condition and price.

Known imperfections will be disclosed where practical.

You are still entitled to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, but we do not provide refunds for imperfections that were clearly disclosed before purchase or that are reasonable for the item’s age, condition and price.

17. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated, our warranty terms are:

5 years structural warranty on lounge frames
1 year warranty on stitching, coverings, mechanisms, foam, cushions and other components

Warranty coverage starts from the date of purchase.

Warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
Fabric pilling or softening from normal use
Cushion settling, comfort preference or natural softening over time
Misuse, neglect or accidental damage
Damage caused by pets, children, sharp objects, spills or improper cleaning
Exposure to direct sunlight, heat, moisture or outdoor conditions
Commercial use unless agreed in writing
Damage caused during customer transport, pickup or relocation
Change of mind

This warranty is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

18. Care and maintenance

Furniture must be cared for according to the material and product type.

You are responsible for appropriate cleaning, maintenance and use.

For lounges, we recommend:

Avoiding direct sunlight where possible
Keeping fabric and leather away from moisture and heat
Cleaning spills immediately
Using products suitable for the material
Rotating and fluffing cushions where applicable
Avoiding sitting on arms, backs or edges not designed for seating

Damage caused by incorrect cleaning, lack of care or misuse is not covered by warranty.

19. Access and fit

You are responsible for checking measurements before purchase.

This includes making sure the item fits:

Your room
Doorways
Hallways
Lifts
Staircases
Entry points
Delivery access

If an item cannot be delivered due to access or size limitations, this is not considered a product fault.

Additional delivery, return or redelivery fees may apply.

20. Website content

The content on our website is provided for general information.

We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be error-free, complete or current.

We may update product information, pricing, images, availability and website content at any time.

21. Intellectual property

All content on our website, including text, images, branding, logos, product descriptions and design elements, belongs to Luna Living Co. or is used with permission.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our website content without written permission.

22. Reviews, photos and customer content

If you tag us, send us photos, leave a review or share content featuring our products, you give us permission to share, repost or use that content for marketing, website, social media or promotional purposes.

We will always aim to use customer content respectfully.

If you would like us to remove your content, please contact us.

23. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions, discounts and offers may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Discount codes must be used before expiry and cannot be applied retrospectively unless we agree.

Only one discount or promotion may be used per order unless otherwise stated.

24. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information to process orders, arrange delivery, communicate with you and provide customer service.

We may also use your contact details for marketing if you have opted in or where permitted by law.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

25. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under Australian Consumer Law, Luna Living Co. is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or other similar loss arising from your purchase or use of our website or products.

Where we are legally able to limit our liability, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

26. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include weather, road closures, supplier delays, transport issues, stock delays, illness, natural disasters, system outages or other unexpected events.

27. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing the updated version on our website.

The Terms that apply to your order are the Terms available at the time your order is placed.

28. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any dispute will be handled in accordance with the laws and courts of Queensland, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
